Bill Bailey's Birdwatching Bonanza; Sky1 and Sky1 HD (2010)

Bill Bailey's Birdwatching Bonanza is an entertaining yet informative birdwatching challenge series set in the British countryside, which transmitted over 6 weeks in January and February 2010. The series travels the country visiting some of the very best bird watching locations, from the tranquility of Rutland Water, to the incredible spectacle of 27,000 geese in the Solway Firth, from the seething flocks of wading birds in North Norfolk, to the rugged beauty of the Isle of Mull, home of the White Tailed Eagle.
The ethos of the series is that the presenter and the 2 teams celebrate the great outdoors, getting back to basics, and communing with nature by taking part in a competitive but fun packed birdwatching competition. Wildlife, beautifully filmed in High Definition by some of the world's best wildlife cameramen, is a key part of the look of the series, along with incredible sunrises and sunsets, scenic landscapes, aerials, campfire settings and flora, which all combine to show off the British countryside at its very best.
Bill Bailey plays host to two celebrity teams, headed up by tv presenter Alex Zane and comedian Jeff Green, who are both joined by a different celebrity team mate each week and pitted against each other in a series of birdwatching challenges. Each challenge is devised to stretch the observational and practical stills of the teams, whilst always focusing on seeing and appreciating our wonderful British birds and celebrating our beautiful countryside... and having a bit of a laugh along the way!
